COVID-19: PTI Remains Open

Just days ago, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published guidance for Identifying Essential Critical Infrastructure, along with a list of 16 Critical Infrastructure Sectors.  The complete list can be found at https://www.cisa.gov/identifying-critical-infrastructure-during-covid-19.

Additionally, on March 16th, President Trump stated “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”   Furthermore, on March 20th, Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Ellen Lord echoed Trump’s comments, stating “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as designated by the Department of Homeland Security, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

Regardless of the shelter in place edict issued in Wisconsin, because PTI supplies powder coatings for Critical Industries as specified by Homeland Security such as the Defense Industrial Base, along with healthcare, aerospace, transportation and others, we are considered an essential business; as such, we have a responsibility to continue our normal day-to-day operations.  Powder coatings will continue to be matched, tested, manufactured, and shipped out to our customer base.
